While this video is not focused on mobile money, it does focus on electronic payments and is a perfect example of the cost savings and efficiency gains that a development project can gain from shifting to electronic payments and mobile banking services.  In late 2012, USAID/Indonesia’s Changes for Justice (C4J) project, which is implemented by Chemonics International, began to utilize Citibank Indonesia’s mobile banking platform to facilitate project payments anytime, anywhere. In 2012, Chemonics International decided to join the Better Than Cash Campaign and has been systematically shifting projects from check and cash payments to mobile money and electronic funds transfers.

In this video, the finance manager and chief of party for the project share their experiences and highlight the significant time and cost savings of shifting to electronic and mobile banking funds transfer in Indonesia.
